This week the full U.S. Senate passed its version of the 2012 Farm Bill. The Land Stewardship Project (LSP) recognizes significant improvements made to the bill with the passage of key amendments that:

Increase support for beginning farmer education and training.
Establish conservation requirements for federally subsidized crop insurance.
Set income limits on eligibility and subsidy levels for crop insurance.
